Ontario Energy Board Announces New Electricity Prices for Households, Small Businesses, and Farms

The Ontario Energy Board has announced updated electricity rates under the Regulated Price Plan, effective November 1, 2025, through April 30, 2026. These changes apply to households, small businesses, and farms across the province.

Time-of-Use (TOU) Pricing

  • Off-Peak (Weekdays 7 p.m.–7 a.m.; weekends & holidays): 9.8¢/kWh
  • Mid-Peak (Weekdays 11 a.m.–5 p.m.): 15.7¢/kWh
  • On-Peak (Weekdays 7 a.m.–11 a.m. & 5 p.m.–7 p.m.): 20.3¢/kWh

Tiered Pricing

  • Tier 1: First 1,000 kWh/month at 12.0¢/kWh
  • Tier 2: Above 1,000 kWh/month at 14.2¢/kWh
  • For non-residential customers, Tier 1 applies to the first 750 kWh/month.

Ultra-Low Overnight (ULO) Plan

  • Overnight (11 p.m.–7 a.m.): 3.9¢/kWh
  • Weekend Off-Peak (7 a.m.–11 p.m.): 9.8¢/kWh
  • Weekday Mid-Peak: 15.7¢/kWh
  • Weekday On-Peak (4 p.m.–9 p.m.): 39.1¢/kWh
